No one is perfect. And no one will ever be perfect. This is a truth — a sad truth, but a truth nonetheless. While it does sound deflating at first, the fact that you’re not perfect doesn’t have to upset you or break you into pieces.

In fact, this truth can actually be a comfort.

People will judge you no matter what you do. You could be the most excellent person in the entire world and still get judged. The reason why is because people naturally like to form opinions and make judgments about other people (even if they don’t know them personally). Basically, folks will judge a book, any book, by its cover.

And toss in a group of nurses or travel nurses, and oh boy, is that a recipe for pettiness.

When we get older, our self-esteem and self-worth start to decline. Life may offer us lemons from time to time, making it difficult to feel good about ourselves, our capabilities, and often our career choices. Positive affirmations are a fantastic method to increase your sense of self-worth by reminding you of your best qualities.

In my experience, positive affirmations have been demonstrated to effectively cope with depression, sadness, pain, hurt, and failure.
