Parents, mentors, coaches, and role models are all people we listen to and perhaps emulate.

We want to lead and live a life like them. And in that process, you get muddled. In the pursuit, you become confused. On that journey, you often lose yourself.

There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to how to live your best life.

What works for one person may not work for another, and what worked yesterday may not work today. Everyone can do some basic things to increase their chances of living a happy, fulfilling life.

But what are the things a person literally needs to do?

I mean, it’s all fine and dandy to hear about it, but what do I physically need to do each and every day to make positive change?

The answer is: it depends.

But before I dive into real-life strategies, it’s important to remember that you have the power to change your life for the better. Even if you feel stuck in a rut right now, it’s possible to turn things around and start heading down a new path with a bit of effort and creativity.

Figure out who you want to become, then map the steps you need to get there

Are you craving the life of an entrepreneur or founder? Maybe you’ve dreamt of becoming a top-tier triathlete.

Whatever you’re craving to become, understand that the first step is figuring out the steps. Literally figuring out step one, then two, etc. Every life path mandates a set of skills and knowledge, and it’s up to you to figure out what those are.

Identify as the person you want to be

Step into the role.

Wake up and see yourself as that athlete or founder. Sometimes the very first step is belief. Your belief that you can do it.

The biggest battle in becoming who you might become is believing that you can.

So begin the day, the project, the task, or what have you as if you are already that person.
