I remember that day clear as a crystal.

She beckoned me…more like a tease I recall.

Like sirens luring sailors in tales past.

Come to me Ricky.

I’ll make your heart race…

I’ll leave you gasping for air…

A heaping mess on the floor…

I’ll make you a better man…

And mostly,

I’ll leave you asking where have you been all my life.

That was her promise.

That crystal clear day was dark. I put on my newest duds. I even did my hair kinda special that day though I’m not sure exactly what I did to it. And I slowly walked to the garage, tip toeing so my wife wouldn’t wake up.

(Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you that I was married and my wife woulda been highly disturbed to know I was gonna pound out Cindy in the garage.)

But I went.

The door opens.

Light flicks on.

And there she awaits.

My pull up rig, a yoga mat from Craig’s list and a dingy white board that said:

“Cindy”

5 pull ups
