Even The Best Captains Need This

At the end of the island I’m currently living and working on there’s a lighthouse that’s like 100 years old. It’s actually even earlier, but it was hard to read the plaque with the snow and just plain being cold.

Oh yeah, that’s another thing.

I’m not exactly on a palm tree, toes in the sand type island.

More like arctic circle shiz.

But I digress.

At the other end of the same island, there’s another lighthouse, and in fact, there are actually lighthouses all around. Like 4 or 5 I believe.

Made me think about some things and ponder others.

Things like.

Wouldn’t any ship sailing in these parts need to be kinda sturdy to be out in these waters?

Wouldn’t any ship captain be a really REALLY good ship captain to be out in these parts?

I mean ponder that for a sec.

I certainly did as I sat at the edge of the L-house and pulled my pad and pencil to scribble notes.

I looked at the lighthouse…then the water…then the massive rocks below…then to the dock where several boats were anchored. My head pseudo…
