I Was Overdosed, Blinded and Abducted While Living In Norway
One of the first things my friends and family ask me is, “What is it like and is Norway as beautiful as people say it is or what?”
And therein began the truth behind my experience living in Norway. I mean, I can’t lie to mom. Right?
Word of caution, before you read any further.
You may never be the same ever again once you read this literal, visceral take on life in this Scandinavian country. It’s been reported that after reading this, people often complain of nightmares, cold sweats in the middle of a Texas summer day, loss of motivation and purpose, among other things.
You’ve been warned.
It seems so long ago.
We were wheels down at about nine am on a crazy cold and icy spring day. The flight was uneventful, and I was able to catch up on some writing, grabbed a movie, and of course, had a beer for breakfast simply because when I popped the top, it was morning time overseas, but midnight on the flight.
But I digress.
It was cold. This Texas boy wasn’t bred for icy cold days, let alone crazy winds that whipped up faster then you could say ‘is that an ice cube in your pocket or are you just glad to see me’.
