Oh boy I can hear the backlash even as I typed that headline.
“Rick, who the hell do you think you are talking about unwelcomed girlfriends in your message? What are you, part of that whacked out #AntiCompanion movement?”
Easy there tiger.
No, yours truly isn’t part of any radical movements that shun girlfriends…but something tells me that that isn’t the real shocker in the headline.
Am I right?
Alas, all I’m doing, my dear friend is sharing a real, live, 100% true news story, and it was just too funny, perplexing, and honestly good to not share.
It was in the English version of the Norwegian newspaper this week and while it was a total “lost in translation” thing, the truth is that if a person doesn’t quite grasp the subtle, yet powerful nuances of words, then boy oh boy, just be prepared for a backlash.
This not only applies to bloggers, side-hustlers and solo-preneurs…but also…and especially so, to folks crafting simple and effective emails. Even more so if you’re writing them for someone else.
