In case of fire…
“Odds are someone else has faced a similar adversity to the one you’re facing now, be it today or a thousand years ago. And if they faced it, so can you.” UNK

In case of fire…break glass.
You’ve seen this in hotels, public buildings, library’s, etc.
It’s that little red box that you see, I see, we all see and hope we never have to actually break the glass.
But it’s there, as a reminder that if the shiite hits the fan (or Bob falls asleep with his Pall Mall still lit) we have backup. We have the cavalry. We have a fallback and we know that someone else is gonna blaze on in and put out the fire.
It gives us a sense of calm, of peace, of relaxation and on some level we know that a life can be saved simply by breaking that glass and yanking the lever.
But this is your life we’re talking about.
Right?
In real life we don’t have a mechanism that we can break open and the saviors flood in…
In real life we don’t have these double proofed safety nets…
In real life we coulda never imagined a pandemic…
In real life we don’t have a little red box…
