Overcome Your Fear and Doubt As A New(er) Writer
Find redemption and liberation by stepping up and speaking your truth
When you first started, did you feel this too?
I hoped that folks would like what I had created.
I wanted people to like what I had written.
I wished them to be proud of me.
I craved nothing more than to feel a sense of validation.
I needed all of the failure, rejection, and doubt I had been through to mean something.
But the truth was, I struggled with self-doubt and fear of failure.
Every single time I hit publish, I questioned what I had written when I put it out there for people to read. Every positive comment or email made me feel elated, but at the same time, I felt like an impostor. Not like a “real” writer.
It took a lot of hard work and dedication to get past this feeling, but eventually, I did it. I kept writing and putting out my words, even though it was scary at times.
