I read a quote yesterday that hit me like a punch from Mike Tyson:

“When you’re born you look like your parents. When you die you look like your choices.”

That one doesn’t need a lot of explanation. It’s a gut punch of truth. And if it doesn’t make you feel something, I don’t know what to tell you.

Because the truth is, every single choice we make stacks up. Like bricks in a wall. Like footprints leading somewhere. Like a book being written, one word at a time. And when it’s all said and done, the story people tell about you won’t be about what you wanted to do. It’ll be about what you actually did.
