Who Would You Love To Break Bread With, Dead or Alive?
“Don’t tell me what you ate, tell me who you ate with.” Tony Bourdain
That was something Anthony Bourdain said right in the middle of one of his shows. I think it was the one where he was eating with some indigenous folks around a makeshift fire in the arctic circle…although I’m not quite sure. It just stuck with me. His popular TV show, Parts Unknown, was one of my most fav shows of the time. Yeah, even even though it was on a news channel (CNN). Nothing against CNN, just not the norm when surfing for something to take your mind off stuff.

Parts Unknown.
If you didn’t or have never watched the show, it’s ok, you still likely know who Anthony “Tony” Bourdain was. He’s a trained chef and author of several books and widely known for his TV show. And if you don’t see the show nor Bourdain, then it’s still ok because this little mind morsel isn’t necessarily about him or food.
It’s about a question and about legacy.
You see, a few years ago, I was speaking in Mexico City. Mexico City, or simply “Mejico” (Meh-He-Ko), if you’re from there, is a massive, sprawling metropolis, and just so happens is where my grandparents are from.
